The newest feature on the Karri platform allows organizations to create collections that specifically cater for donations. Instead of ‘Pay now’ you can ‘Donate’.
We have also adjusted your email receipts to thank your members for their donation.
Check out our simple step by step guide on how to set up a donation on Karri:
To begin with, create a new collection by clicking on the Collections tab situated on the left-hand side of your screen. Next, simply enter the title of your collection and a brief description. You will then be able to choose the type of donation of either a variable donation or a donation for a specific item.
Below this, you will see two boxes under Advanced options.
The first box asks you if this is a donation style collection. If you tick this box, it will adjust the app for your members. ‘Pay now’ will change to ‘Donate’ and your members will receive a receipt that thanks them for their donation.
The second box asks if you would like to allow multiple payments per member. If you tick this box, it will enable more than one member to donate towards a collection or a member to donate more than once.
You can then create your collection.

Once your collection has been released, your members will then receive a notification and they will be able to donate to the collection (as shown in the screenshot above).
Once a member has made a donation, they will be able to see how much they have paid and will be given the option to donate more money simply by pressing Donate Again.
