Karri's Trip To EdTechXAsia 2017 - Karri

Karri’s Trip To EdTechXAsia 2017

This October, we proudly took Karri across the ocean to EdTechXAsia. Our aim, led by Niki our Operations Manager was to demonstrate a solution to the silent killer of education in schools – administration.

We stood out as a unique and innovative App that focused on ensuring that teachers were teaching and not collecting money for outings and events.

A Little More About EdTechXAsia:

EdTechXAsia is a thought leadership platform created to drive conversations and solutions that are transforming the education and lifelong learning of the world today. Produced in partnership with EdTechXGlobal and SingEx Exhibitions, the EdTechXAsia summit and exhibition event was held in Singapore at Singapore EXPO @ MAX Atria.

The EdTechx Asia conference 2017 was an amazing opportunity to see how Edtech is evolving around the world. With anything from Virtual Reality and Artificial intelligence to teaching children to code through robots and mobile education.

Joining Karri were a handful of cutting-edge South African tech companies including Hyperion Development, Siyavula Education, CRSP DSGN, Paper Video, Sandtree Solutions, Afri-Acts, C2 Square Enterprises, Fundi Funda, Lalela Media and EDRO to name a few.

What We Learned:

We got to see that Karri is definitely needed in every educational environment. Niki was giving the opportunity to interact with principals and teachers from a wide range of schools from all over South East Asia. She discovered that they certainly had the same issue with queues of learners waiting to make payments to the school.

We hope to take Karri international and solve a worldwide educational administrative problem, but first, our aim is to eliminate this issue in as many schools as possible in South Africa.
