Last month, the Karri team attended the SBMA conference as a Platinum sponsor thanks to our partners, Nedbank. We were there along with our friends from Tendopro and SchoolAdvisor. The Karri team had a fantastic stand, set up at the entrance of the conference venue for all to see, which meant we were very busy interacting with our current Karri users and new users.
We had something different in store for our SBMA delegates this year! We ran a raffle through Karri which enabled the SBMA attendees to purchase tickets and put themselves in line to win one of three R500 Sorbet vouchers. The Karri team appreciate that finance staff at schools work ridiculously hard and often end up counting piles of money, so we thought a little nail treatment and pamper session at Sorbet would go down well!
Those who purchased tickets had the chance to use Karri first hand and see how simple it was to make a payment! The response to our Karri raffle was incredible and when it came to our lucky draw on Friday afternoon, the lucky ladies were Diane Leary from Bergvliet Primary, Shereen Heydenrych from Hillcrest Primary and Theresa Hendricks from St Anne’s Primary. Thank you to everyone who partook in our raffle. The money raised from the raffle tickets was given to SBMA so they could donate it to a charity of their choice.
After a great introduction by Mark Rose, head of Business Banking at Nedbank, schools that were yet to jump onboard the Karri train were very eager to find out what we were about!
It also helped to have our wonderful “Keep calm and Karri on” badges available so you could spot a Karri school from a mile away!
Once again, the conference was organised excellently by the hard-working ladies from SBMA and it was great to meet up with some of our returning Karri users who began using Karri at our last SBMA conference in 2017.
The greatest highlight of the conference was to touch base with all our schools and get further valuable feedback on how Karri is making their lives easier and also to hear the areas in which Karri can be improved for us to continue to provide a secure, simple and convenient service to schools. We’re looking forward to seeing you all next year at SBMA 2019!
