2018: Our Best Year Yet!

From all of us here at Karri, we’d like to thank you for making 2018 one for the record books. We’ve had 100s of schools join the Karri family throughout the year and made schools a safer environment across the country.

We thought we’d share a few of our highlights from this year…

We launched our upgraded system & have been adding new features based on your feedback.

Throughout the year we added a handful of new features to our system that you wanted to see. Some of these included:

The Buy More Button
This feature allows users to pay for multiple items as many times as they would like. We’ve seen huge success with this being used for collections such as concert tickets. Not heard about this new feature yet? You can head over to the article here.

Shopping Lists
Towards the end of 2018, we released the Shopping List feature. This was requested by many of our users and can be used for textbook collections, stationery collections, fun-days, concerts, sports tours, Matric clothing and much more! Want to find out more? Wynberg Boys’ Junior School demonstrated the ease of use of this new feature when they used it for their Father & Son Camp Out.  Is your school holding a similar event? Check out the blog here.

The Donate Button
This feature came in handy this year when we launched Karri out of the school space. Cape Of Good Hope SPCA were quick to launch a kitten blanket and food donation collection and utilised this feature. Want to learn more about donation style collections? Head over to the article.

Our #KarriCares initiatives made a difference!

With the help of many schools, we raised thousands of Rands for many causes via our #KarriCares initiative; including fundraising for De La Bat School For The Deaf and helping to get RainPillows to under-resourced schools in the Western Cape during the drought.

We opened our doors to Organisations

The Karri community spoke and we listened. Parents and teachers queried with us if they could use Karri outside of schools. We saw a need and have the answer. Our plans for 2019…

We’re adding new members nationwide to the Karri team. Watch out Bloemfontein and Eastern Cape, we’re coming for you! Are you a school or organisation and would like one of our sales team to get in contact with you? Drop us an email or contact our office on 021 300 1867.

We’ll be adding new features! We will also be adding an individual collections option. This collection option is ideal for collecting individual fees (fees which differ from member to member)
