At Karri, we believe that giving back does not always need to be big and complicated to be meaningful. Sometimes, a small contribution can help support the people who are already doing incredible work in their communities.

Through our Spend.Win.Give initiative, Karri recently donated R1 000 to Ma-Afrika, an after-school programme based in Mapetla, Soweto.

Ma-Afrika is run by Kgomotso, who has created a caring space where learners can come after school to receive help with their homework and enjoy a meal. For many children, after-school support can make a meaningful difference - not only in their academic progress, but also in their confidence, routine and sense of belonging.

This is the heart behind Spend.Win.Give.

The initiative is about turning participation into positive impact. It gives Karri the opportunity to support local causes that are close to the hearts of our community and to shine a light on the people making a difference every day.

While the donation may be a small part of the bigger picture, the work being done by Ma-Afrika is anything but small. Programmes like these play an important role in supporting learners beyond the classroom, helping them feel seen, supported and encouraged.

We’re proud to support Ma-Afrika and Kgomotso’s work in Mapetla, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute to a cause that puts learners first.

Because when we Spend.Win.Give, the real win is giving back.
